What Is Sure Start?
Sure Start is a government initiative established to work with expectant parents and families with children aged four and under. Sure Start aims to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of pre-school children to ensure they are ready to flourish when they get to school.
Coleraine Sure Start Partnership
Coleraine Sure Start Partnership is an organisation which is made up of a number of partners working together to meet the following goals:
- Improving children’s social and emotional development
- Improving children’s health
- Improving children’s ability to learn
- Strengthening families and communities
- Increasing productivity
We do this by providing a range of services to anyone in the Sure Start area who is expecting a baby or who has a child up to the age of four. The services provided are delivered by Sure Start employees or by individuals employed by partners and funded by Coleraine Sure Start Partnership.
There are three main areas of support provided by our Sure Start:
